Why a card name repeats
Cards get reprinted. The same card can appear in several sets, and inside one set it can exist as a plain card, a foil, and a numbered alternate art. Four things tell one copy from another:
- Set. The release the card came from.
- Card No. The collector number printed on the card.
- Printing. Plain or foil, and which kind of foil.
- Language. English unless the page says otherwise.
Each printing has its own page on this site, and the page names the printing.
Printing names by game
- Magic: The Gathering. Normal, Foil, Etched.
- Pokémon TCG. Normal, Holofoil, Reverse Holofoil, and 1st Edition and Unlimited forms of those.
- Flesh & Blood TCG. Normal, Cold Foil, Rainbow Foil, and 1st Edition and Unlimited Edition forms.
- Star Wars Unlimited, Riftbound: League of Legends TCG, Dragon Ball Super: Masters. Normal and Foil.
- Dragon Ball Super: Fusion World. Normal and Holofoil.
Occasionally there are manufacturing differences within one type of foil. We do not differentiate between foils on that basis.
